Our Founder

Laxmi Rangayamma

Born to a humble school teacher, Laxmi Rangayamma learned the value of education early in her life. Inspired by her father’s motivation to educate and passion for imparting knowledge, she completed her teacher training, specializing in language and literature, and embarked on a journey to share her love for learning as a dedicated educator.

After marriage, Laxmi and her husband moved to Hyderabad in 1970. Despite the challenges, in 1974, she took a brave step—one that would change many lives—by founding the Indo-English High School in Santosh Nagar. With the unwavering encouragement of her father, who was a retired school headmaster by then, Laxmi nurtured her dream into reality. The school flourished, growing from a modest 36 students in its first year to an impressive 176 the next. For six years, their home at 1A, Santosh Nagar Colony became both a residence and a school, buzzing with the laughter and energy of young minds eager to learn.

The school’s reputation soared, and in just three years, its capacity had reached its limit, making her home the birthplace of what would eventually become the MNR Educational Group.

Throughout her journey, Laxmi remained dedicated to her students, her family, and her vision for education. Her husband eventually left his job to join her, supporting her dream as they worked side by side to expand the school into a flourishing educational trust. For forty years, Laxmi balanced administrative responsibilities and academic guidance, all while caring for her family and shaping the lives of countless students.

Laxmi’s story is one of quiet strength, commitment, and generosity. She built a legacy that has touched millions, all from a simple yet powerful belief in the value of education—a belief first planted in her by her father and carried forward with love and determination.
