Update: 2025-08-04 09:18 GMT

At MNR Scottsdale International School, we recognize that learning is at its best when it extends beyond the pages of textbooks and connects with the real world. This August, we celebrate this belief with our long-anticipated Social Week that will take place from August 4th to 12th, 2025.

The event is an engaging, interactive, student-led experience that follows the following themes: Society, Culture, History, Economics, and Tradition.

Here’s a Sneak Peek at What’s Coming Up!

The celebration will start off with a fashion show from our grade 4 students in the various cultural dresses of India. Students in colourful traditional attire shall elucidate the cultural importance of their clothes, thus further underscoring a diverse yet unified India.

Day 2 – August 5 (Tuesday) French Revolution Reenactment -Grade 9

As a live enactment by the students of Grade 9, History will unfold. From dramatized scenes to live performances, students will guide us through the events that transformed our world and engage with social themes such as equality, justice, and liberty in an interactive setup.

Traditional Indian crafts will be displayed by students of classes 3-5 through models, artwork, and displays. They will celebrate the unique art form of a particular region, for instance, Warli painting, terracotta art, or Madhubani patterns, thereby gently guiding children to appreciate India's rich artistic heritage.

In this part, you can read an inspiring conversation with a 9th-grade girl, Rohini Panday, talking about economics, money management, and global markets. This student-led interview provides a roadmap helping the peers of this age group to instill awareness and critical thinking in their minds regarding finances.

Day 5 – August 11 (Monday): Teacher Performance – “Mile Sur Mera Tumhara”

The song “Mile sur mera tumhara,” showcasing national harmony, is splendidly performed by our respected educators. Their participation will be a reminder of the connection between students and teachers, values, and unity.
