At MNR Scottsdale, one of the top Schools in Hyderabad, we think there’s more to learning than just reading from a textbook. It’s also about the development of curiosity, self-belief, and a pathway to a positive future for our students. We were recently honored to have an enriching orientation for Grade 10 students under the guidance of our Director, Mr. Venugopal Bere.

It was more than just Orientation, that much-needed “getting-to-know-the-campus,” introductory to the school year; it was positive push back, career advice, and life lessons. As articulated by our Director, “you don’t have to be a genius, you just need to be consistent, curious, committed, and calm”. Those words echoed strongly with our students, reiterating that success is a product of perseverance, curiosity, hard work – not just academic brilliance.

Mr. Bere urged the students to be passionate in their studies but to view life more broadly as well. He cited career planning and self-discovery as key to students’ being able to determine their strengths and interests while in school. Through promoting the principle of hard work, rather than innate potential, students have realized that all increments contribute to their ultimate destination.MNR Scottsdale’s philosophy was also the backdrop for the orientation to inculcate values that are core to MNR Scottsdale’s educational policy. Students were encouraged to seek alternative ways of thinking, be creative in their approach, and change their way of thinking about challenges.

During the interactive session, students were taught how to plan their time well and set realistic goals, and be dedicated. The orientation made students' academic expectations and career pathways clearer, enabling them to make their efforts compatible with their vision. More than that, it made a statement about the school’s commitment to developing young people who are going to grow up into being happy and responsible citizens.

Parents were also very impressed by the Director's leadership at orientation; they could see that MNR Scottsdale promotes a holistic model of education. The meeting brought the collaboration of our students, parents, and teachers to strengthen them all, working with one objective in mind: the growth and success of our children.
